feature request: Hide editor tabs row #594

Xed look is very minimal and slick. It would be even more compact if it did not render editor tabs. List of open documents is already provided in side bar. So having option for hiding tab bar would not deprive user of that information. In return it would allow user to focus on edited document more. It would also save some screen estate.

Indeed I would like to see this functionality too. Having tab labels is just redundant when the side bar is active. And as the original poster stated, it is a waste of screen real estate too.

As shown in the picture above it would sense to have an option to hide the tabs as the information is redundant when the side panel is active.
