Supporting pdf documents with XFA forms #338

 * Xreader version 2.2.3
 * Distribution - Mint 18.2

Issue I have a pdf with XFA forms in it. Xreader says the following To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html

Steps to reproduce Open any pdf with XFA form. See the attached pdf for example. Application.pdf

Expected behaviour Xreader should support XFA forms.

Other information While XFA forms have been deprecated in pdf v2.0, most pdfs are still distributed in v1.4 or v1.5, and it will take decades to all pdfs be available in v2.0. And, government agencies that ask to fill up pdf with XFA forms (for Passport/other applications) will not easily change their format (because most users would use Windows with Adobe Reader and are not affected).

Yesterday I could not submit documents to the court for the whole day due to the lack of this function. I had to use the adobe reader and the wine.

I tried using the online version of Adobe Reader. It don't support court forms.

Master PDF Editor does not work correctly, it has many errors and misaligned text.

Actually I used Firefox to create text in forms, but it also reflects forms with flaws. Therefore, I edited the text in firefox, but printed it in adobe reader.

Thanks for informing us that these solutions in Linux may not work for certain forms.
