Digital signature signing & validation #386

Greetings,

In my work, I sometimes have the need to validate digital signatures in PDF files as, without them, the printed documents show icons or watermarks across text, which void the document altogether. Unfortunately, I cannot do this in xreader, seeing as such feature is not yet implemented. I end up using Adobe Acrobat Reader for this purpose. However, I prefer xreader, as I find it much simpler, lighter, easier to use and better suited to my taste. If digital signature validation was possible in xreader, it would be a great addition to an already impressive application.

Cheers.

Hi. Why only validate a digital signature only ? Why not, also, adding a feature to digitally signed PDF ?

wolfskull-foresight commented 4 years ago

Hi, Nokia808. That would also be useful, yes.

@wolfskull-foresight Okay. Change the title, if so, into "Digital signature signing & validation" so as to make developer attention go with both aspect & not to forget one ....

xreader is depend on poppler, is it? maybe this one is related? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16770 (support for digital signature already fixed)

It would be beautiful that xreader can sign and validate digital signs. Thanks
