Featurerequest for management support for the airserver connect 2 hardware.

https://www.airserver.com

This could be a "blackbox". Cloud management and I guess an webbased API is available.

Hello @FlorianKrammel,

I do not own an airserver, and I have many (many !) requests to integrated diverses APIs. It could be a good first issue for someone who want to write its own plugin, but I think it's necessary to describe a complete example of the API use here.

Cheers

Arnaud

The topic is "under consideration"

First we should discuss which functionality you want to see in the LMN WebUI.

Furthermore, I do not see what makes airserver special, so we should prioritize it in favour of other features. I get the general idea, but our resources are limited, and we have to focus on core development extended with new features.

I would like to give an idea what makes AirServer so special, for the first thing it implements Apple's remote screen sharing and/or connecting technology. Though it can do this without needing any of the big technologies company's products to be the server sending the screen. On top of this it does the same for Google Cast protocol and the Miracast protocol.

The developers of Air Server also provide a software instance of it but this is as an additional application on an already setup hardware on an general operating system.

The AirServer Connect 2 (https://www.airserver.com/connect-2) and also AirServer Connect 3 (https://www.airserver.com/connect-3)provides a dedicated hardware device, which can only be used to screen share. As well as just enough software to provide the functions for that role.

Also note that AirServer is trusted by over 5,000 schools and businesses together.

Being able to close a session on a single AirServer Connect or batches of them would be really useful. Especially if something unwanted is on screen.
