[BUG] Product images are not losing rotation data #92

Is there an existing issue for this?

Current Behavior

I am having an issue where product images are losing their rotation data after loading into Grocy. This does not occur in the Grocy test server and appears to be caused by the implementation within this container.

The Grocy readme lists the following PHP extensions as required: fileinfo, pdo_sqlite, gd, ctype, intl, zlib, mbstring but several of these are missing from the Docker file.

Expected Behavior

Images should preserve rotation. Screenshot 2024-10-08 121449

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install Grocy image on OMV
  2. Add product with long-axis as horizontal
  3. View product, now long-axis is vertical

Environment

- OS: 
Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
          Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-26-amd64
- How docker service was installed: via OpenMediaVault with the following compose:

PHP 8.3 is a supported version: https://grocy.info/changelog#v4.1.0

Your "missing" packages are in the base image https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-baseimage-alpine-nginx/blob/master/Dockerfile

Closing this - when I rotate the images in Paint.Net instead of Windows File Manager the rotations appear to be applied correctly. Closing this.
