2 years ago i have managed to solve my problem. the latest update seems to not like the previously generated KeyPair file located at /config/.config/.mono/keypairs deleting the file allowed sonarr to regenrate it and things started working again

2 years ago sorry, i jumped the gun there, restarting the container allows search to work as intended for a few mins, after which the problem re-appears. additionally, looking at the logs, i am also seeing other errors
