DF: I'm currently working through some questions
in "Practical least squares and statistics for surveyors / Bruce R. Harvey"
and some of the answers require accuracy predictions of line azimuth
and distance. In the attached spreadsheet I calculate
azimuth and distance confidence from the relative confidence
ellipse, line length and azimuths of line and major axis. All
these values can be displayed in SNAP Plot and then entered
in the spreadsheet. It would be great if SNAP had a command
that exports the necessary information in some form with the
user being able to select the confidence similar to:
"error_type apriori 95.0 confidence_limit"
In the past I used a little trick to list the semi-major axis value
of the REE and line length in order to calculate CLASS/ORDER
as required in NSW, for this calculation it wasn't necessary to
know azimuths but for my current study they are needed.
That's what I used to report the semi-major axis length:
specification REE_output_trick confidence 39.6% horizontal 1.0mm 0.0 ppm
test_specification REE_output_trick *
spec_test_options apriori list_all
