What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. installed libstdc++5, sp-auth_3.0.1_i386.deb,
sopcast-player_0.3.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
2. run sp-sc sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/6001 3908 8908
3. sp-sc terminates

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
That's what I see:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ubuntu 9.04, sp-auth_3.0.1_i386.deb, sopcast-player_0.3.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

Please provide any additional information below.
I've installed libstdc++.so.5.0.7
libstdc++.so.5.0.1 makes no difference
libstdc++.so.6.0.10 does not work

Sorry! It's working now. I reinstalled the packages and again removed the .pyc 
files
from /usr/share/sopcast-player/lib and started sopcast-player. Now it connects 
and
works fine.
