2.2 a real release or a pre-release? #68

its marked as pre-release but doesn't have beta in the version number or otherwise an explanation why it isn't marked as latest.

Should be a release but I'm still waiting for feedback on compatibility in Big Sur #64 . On paper everything should be fine but I don't know how well this works on M1 .
