Solus Project support #148

Open HLFH opened 8 years ago

HLFH commented 8 years ago

Hi,

It would be cool to support Solus Project. I would love to get a native package for this working new material/flat operating system. https://github.com/solus-project/ypkg-docs

Thanks, HLFH

maybe ikey can make that the offical browser for solus too!

HLFH commented 8 years ago

@ikeydoherty Hi. What do you think of the suggestion of @VirusKA ? :)

crutchcorn commented 8 years ago

I do know that Solus does not play nice with Qt. You would have to package all of the new Qt5.x stuff and the older Qt4.x stuff

ikeydoherty commented 8 years ago

@HLFH what is the general goal of liri?

@crutchcorn that's not true, we have Qt4 and Qt5, and even ship VLC by default

HLFH commented 8 years ago

@ikeydoherty Liri browser is a minimalistic material design web browser. Liri works on Debian/Ubuntu/ArchLinux, so why not a Liri package on Solus Project? Liri will be a great fit for Solus Project. Or maybe, do you disagree?

crutchcorn commented 8 years ago

@ikeydoherty oh! My bad! I just remember some of the old days of Evolve even when there was no Qt to be spoken of. 😯

ikeydoherty commented 8 years ago

@crutchcorn we're fine with using it, I just won't write anything with it :p

@HLFH not sure, Solus doesn't use material design so I don't know how well that'd work out
