Generally you'll get better quality with newer GPUs. I don't recommend the Quadros. Get the consumer model. I would stay away from the 1650 though because it could be a bit underpowered. I recommend the 1660. And it's reasonably priced these days.

Annoyingly I sold my 1070ti s I used for mining last year! With the shortage of cards in the UK I think I will have to wait a while. So a 1660 over a 1070ti in terms of video quality and I suppose longevity as they have HEVC b frames etc?
@skyline-65 Ouch! Well, the video quality would be very similar. But the next generation chips always have more capabilities.
However, B-frame support is not a huge advantage.
Is there a list of compatible gpus for HEVC 10 bit encoding? Will say a 1050 produce the same quality as a 1650 Super? Are the Quadros any good? I don’t want to spend too much as that can be used for more blurays.
