What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. be a graphic designer
2. install mercurial like google says to do
3. end up with a nonsensical terminal window and a program no one wants to tell
you how to uninstall

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I WANT mercurial OFF MY COMPUTER.

You said PUT IT THERE to get the fonts I need to experiment with.

well I dont do terminal when terminal sits there and does nothing and shows you
nothing to indicate its doing anything. fastest way to download? not. in fact
it didnt even INSTALL a directory.

Now I want mercurial off.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? mac OSX 7

Please provide any additional information below.
please email me how to get this stupid thing off my computer. please realize
there are GRAPHIC people in the world who dont want your terminal processes.

HELP!!!

The instructions probably ought to be updated to point to SourceTree [1] or
MacHg [2] for Mac users, in parallel with the TortoiseHg instructions for
Windows. Even many of us who *are* proficient with the terminal find GUI apps
to be helpful with large projects such as Google Fonts.

I dont recommend anyone like myself use mercurial. In fact Id advocate strongly
against it due to the fact it literally can not be installed. Ive tried getting
mercurials creators to cooperate with regard to uninstalling it and all Im
getting amounts to a pat on the head. I want IT OFF.

Im holding google responsible because google insisted on its use.

Surely there is someone who knows how to remove it? I know mercurial creators
know how to uninstall but so far, Im hitting a brick wall and they are not
cooperating.

Im still not seeing a response to my need. google insisted I install mercurial.
installing macHG does not uninstall said mercurial. instead it installs its own
version of mercurial.

I want mercurial OFF, uninstalled. what is the process for doing this???

Unfortunately command line tools like mercurial are hard to uninstall for
people not used to the terminal (and not even easy for those who are). I
recommend to simply leave it, it takes up very little space and isn't affecting
your computer in any way.

Are there any instructions on how to do the download with MacHG. I've
downloaded and installed it and am trying to figure it out, but i'm a little
lost. Anyone have suggestions?
