Is it possible to add a monitoring option for playlists and channels.
If there are any new entries found, then they should be downloaded 
automatically.

Yes, that would be quite cool and I had already thought about adding that... 
Also, support for reading subscriptions off a YouTube account. That would be 
pretty cool too.
