"Download failed: Cannot render the XML video info :(" #33

Hi, just yesterday Nicofox was downloading fine; however, when I tried downloading today, it gave the error "Download failed: Cannot render the XML video info :(". I'm not sure how to fix this. I tried disabling other add-ons and plugins on Firefox, but it still doesn't work. I did, however, manage to get it to the loading stage by reverting Nicofox back to 1.0b3 and then upgrading it back to 1.0b4 to download (Since 1.0b3 will just stay at the infinite loading stage).

Is there some other way to fix this issue?

Thanks, Lazukr

Hello all. It was downloading fine on Monday 9th September then wanted to download something today then BOOM! That dreaded "Download failed: Cannot render the XML video info :(" error. Also, the title of the main window says "Cannot load video information". I'm using Windows XP SP3 with Firefox 23, Flash 11.8 and Java SE 7 U25. What I tried so far to no avail: try with a new Firefox profile and it did the same thing. I also tried with a completely different computer with a different OS (Xubuntu 12.04) and a different version of Firefox (19) and guess what: It did the exact same thing!!! (also tried to boot WinXP on that other computer, same thing agin)

OK, I seem to have discovered where the problem lies. Switching to the new Q interface (that I hate) actually solves the problem. Switching back to Harajuku breaks Nicofox again (well at least for me). lol, I'm now forced to use that damn Q interface to download a video then switch back to Harajuku for viewing!

It would be nice if other people could write their feedback, to see if I'm the only person worldwide to have this problem. :P
