travis

let's set travis up to do the following:

• [ ] build axis (false sense of security while we're waiting on a test suite)
• [ ] build documentation
• [ ] publish to npm (see https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/deployment/npm)

maybe use circle? we use it at segment for everything and it's pretty legit =)
