redis for windows fails (windows server 2008 R2 x64, 4Gb of RAM) with out of
memory when after 700 mb of writes, version 1.2.6. So I've a question was it
build for x64 systems of for 32 ? This could be the answer because that's
typical for 32-bit programs to fail from out of memory even if there are
still a lot of memory because of RAM fragmentation

Hi Sorry about the delayed reply, I don't seem to get issue updates via email
anymore??

Anywayz it was built on a 32bit system so its for x86 systems. If its failing
after
700mb then it could quite possibly be hitting a technical limitation like you
suggest
but I always thought that 32bit apps peaked out at somewhere in the
neighbourhood of
2GB. Is this happening on the newer builds because it might just be a bug in
stable?

I do have a spare 64bit server around so I guess I could provide 64bit builds
as well
(that is after I've set it up). But I'm kinda reluctant to encourage windows
builds in
a production, as you're better off JEOS Linux VM appliance as it would be
better
supported.
