README.txt file needs more installation instructions #54

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. in finder, double click on the git-1.7.1-intel-leopard.dmg
2. open the README.txt
3. Step 1 says "This installs git ..." but the installer doesn't (install
anything).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The installation instructions in README.txt should describe exactly how to
install git. These
instructions don't. Please provide something (for mac newbs like myself) along
these lines:

Step 1 - Install Package
===============

Double click the icon named git*.pkg. This installs git to /usr/local/git.
Root access is
required.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
product version: 1.7.1 intel leopard
operating system: OS X 10.6.3

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry if this seems trivial but for those of us fresh out of the womb, clicking
on the package
isn't immediately obvious (I obviously haven't install software yet on the mac).

You double click the package, then you follow the wizard. Perhaps you expect
it to be more difficult than it is? What changes would you propose to the
README?
