Extend whiteboard to enable multiple users at the same time

For certain applications, such as one-to-one tutoring, it would be useful for 
the teacher and student to simultaneous interact with the whiteboard.

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there is any way to speed up / increase the priority of 
this task?
My project, iSKILLu, will be trying to enable free 121 lessons and thus this is 
essential for it.

Currently we are attempting to use OpenMeetings, but want to use bbb(!)
- I'm pretty new to this project and not sure how it works, but would a certain 
amount of cash help get this implemented?

There is!  Here's an overview of how we prioritize tasks for each release:

Right now, we're focused on finishing 0.9.0.  There will always be more 
releases ahead.

Synopsis of previous message:

1. I checked out commercial support options which produced a quote too large 
for our current financial capability.

2. Is there any channels to try and persuade yourself and other committers for 
the need of this task to be included in v1? 
- Perhaps under 'Areas for investigation' as a start?

3. I believe that by including this small change, the effect (of opening bbb to 
the whole 121 lesson community) highly outweighs the effort needed in order to 
make this change (for simultaneous presenters).

4. My project, iSKILLu, is one of these which will enable worldwide 121 
learning by using a credit system - and thus not trading in money, which 
results in the huge benefits to anyone with computer access worldwide, 
regardless of ones own personal wealth.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for reposting this.  I can't make any promises when we will implement 
this feature, but you can expect multi-user whiteboard to be added to 
BigBlueButton in a future release.

We want it too, but there are other features -- such as closed captioning for 
hearing impaired students -- that rank higher.

You can echo your support for it there too.  It would be better if you (or 
someone in your team) had interest to develop the feature as they could
