On a Mac Book Air, Flash crashes on Safari 7.0.6 on Mac OS X 10.9.4 when
changing volume.

Reproduced in 0.9.0-beta

2. Join audio with Microphone (Listen Only does not cause problem)

Upgraded.

For 0.9.0-beta, we recommend that all users use FireFox or Chrome as they will
get a better audio experience using WebRTC audio.

Still, we want to figure out what's causing the crash.

I've been doing some more testing around this bug (plug-in failure when
adjusting the volume). It actually has nothing to do with Safari (it also
occurs on FireFox). It is caused by Flash Player 15 on a Mac (released from
Sept 9th 2014). I have just reinstalled Flash Player 14 and can confirm that
the bug does NOT occur - updating to version 15 brings back the bug. (Perhaps
the title of this issue should be changed to reflect this)

The bug only occurs on Mac, not PC. Since Flash Player is used by Safari and
Firefox, both browsers show the bug (on Mac). However, the bug does not occur
on Chrome due to the pepper based version of flash.

Interestingly, the bug does not occur in 0.9-beta if the config is set to skip
the microphone test (skipCheck="true"). However, this is not the case in 0.81
which shows the bug regardless of config settings.

Currently, Mac users can't use Safari or FireFox as both browsers will crash
Flash upon adjusting the volume. However, using Chrome also has problems since
a different bug with Pepper-Flash prevents microphone selection from within
Flash, and hence BBB.

Hope all this helps, Andy

This has been reported to Adobe, hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.
