Add Config to Filter participants list for Viewer #1946

I am new to bigbluebutton, when it comes to tweaking into bigbluebutton code. I 
am experienced java developer, but I am yet to get hold of the bigbluebutton 
code. I need an additional behaviour by making change in bbb code. I am looking 
to change the  the client chat module to filter the participants list such 
that, Viewers can only see other moderators  and himself in the users window. 
Also I wish to customise it such that this behaviour can be configurable in 
config.xml in ChatModule.

It would really be great help if someone can give directions on where to look 
into the code to filter the participants list in such a way and how to make the 
config change reflect this behaviour.
