Add a collaborative document editing feature similar to etherpad.

Etherpad offers pretty rich editing (styles, formattting, etc.) What you'll
probably see first in BigBlueButton is some collaborative text editing, which
would be enough to start creating some share notes (such as minutes from the
session).

We would also need to extend the BigBlueButton API to pre-populate the session
with the draft notes, and capture the updated shared notes after the session is
finished. The capture part should be handled as part of the record and
playback functionality.

Is it possible to have a window within the BBB interface where the participants
can access a webpage separately?

If this is possible then the participants can each access the same Etherpad,
and effectively achieve this required outcome of having a collaborative editor
within BBB.

Why reinvent the wheel BBB is Great, Etherpad is Great; it would be bigger
"Great" to have them both within the same interface.

Hi Brian,

We'll approach using a collaborative web application, such as Etherpad, in the
HTML5 interface for BigBlueButton. See

   http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/HTML5

It will be *much* easier to support embeddable HTML applications in an HTML5
environment than in a Flash environment.
