The following issue is something I could have reported to the buildings and grounds manager directly, but I've lost his contact info. Could you provide his name and direct number? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I reported a couple of community market pole lamps as burnt out the other day, but remembered there are at least two more. If you start on church street and walk down the steps between the old visitors center and the armory to the amphitheater/fountain, there are two burnt out pole lamps on the right. Please replace bulbs, or remove lamps if they're redundant with some newer lamps that have been installed on the wall across from them. Thank you.
Received email response from Lynchburg Citizens First Information Center:
Good morning,
Sorry for sending without a comment. I will forward this information to Steve Bailey our building maintenance manager. Thank you.

Made personal task to check if these lamps are still out
Checked and lamps are still out and not removed. Re-reported to Citizens First:
Hello. A couple of months ago I called and reported the following issues:
* 2 pole lamps in the north parking lot of the Lynchburg Community Market as out. Coordinates to search in Google Maps are 37.41209,-79.14016
* 2 pole lamps on the stairs from the Lynchburg Community Market up past the Police Academy to Church Street are out. Coordinates to search in Google Maps are 37.41179,-79.14061
I checked the other day, and none of the lamps have been repaired or removed. Would you be willing to get a status on these issues from the folks responsible for these repairs?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Asked friend in area to check if lamps are still out
Randy checking with contact if these might be responsibility of city market facility
@TheFatCyclist Are these still out?
Surveyed and determined that the lamps are still out.
Reported to communitymarket@lynchburgva.gov :
To whom it may concern,
A while back I noticed that there is an older pole lamp in your north parking lot that is out. There are also a few pole lamps out on the walkway from the fountain up to Church Street.
I've reported to Citizens First, but only one nearby lamp was repaired after that report.
Is this something you all have any control over?
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration!
Nathan
Received response from Darrius Slaughter, director of Community Market:
Hey Nathan,
Thanks for reaching out! My team at the Market doesn't have any control over those lights unfortunately, but I will reach out to some of my colleagues over in the public works department to try and get them replaced soon! I appreciate you for letting me know, I'm rarely at the Market in late evening hours to take note of those things but I'll make more of an effort to keep track of them. Thanks and have a great day!
Thanks,

Requested status from Darrius Slaughter:
Good morning. Sorry for the duplicate email, but sent last one from the wrong address. Just following up to see if you were able to get any info RE who replaces the bulbs in the city market lamps. Looks like they might still be out. Thanks for your time!
Nathan
Received response:
Hey Nathan,
Thanks for checking in! I has assumed they had taken care of them and wasn't aware they were still out. I'll place another call today and try to get a more concrete reason. I know there had been some ongoing supply chain issues with some bulbs we've requested to be changed on the interior of the Market but I have no clue as to whether or not that's causing the hold up for the exterior lamps. I've had a few meetings with the community outreach team and there was mention of quite a few lights that are out across downtown as a whole that they've been raising concerns about.
I appreciate you for putting that on my radar! My team is here from roughly 7am-4pm so I never am in our lot to notice it otherwise I would have followed up sooner. Thanks Nathan!
Thanks,

Responded:
Thanks! If there are ever any particular lamps around the outside of the market you'd like me to check after hours, let me know and I'll do a survey.
Received another response:
Just as a follow up, I've placed another maintenance request with Citizens first and referenced your initial inquiry about this concern from back in May. I'm hoping the follow up will bring some more attention to it. Thanks again for letting me know!
