Received response from APCO and made task to report to LYH Parks & Rec:

Dear Nathan,

Thank you for contacting us at AppalachianPower.com.

Regrettably, lights located within a park are not considered street lights. Please contact the park to request the light repair.

If we can be of any further assistance, you are welcome to email us at customer_service@AEP.com. When emailing us, please include a copy of the original inquiry and subsequent responses.

Sincerely,

Katie B.

Reported to Lynchburg Parks & Recreation through their website contact form:

Hello. There are several lamps in Miller Park that are out, and APCO informed me that they are not responsible for them despite some of the poles bearing codes similar to power poles along streets.

* Lamp without reference code in west side of park parking lot across from Salvation Army (bulb blinks constantly and needs replaced)
* Lamp 105-B1-2212 near Fort Avenue at 37.40418, -79.15792 (out)
* Lamp 105-B1-2190 near Marsh Street at 37.40418, -79.15792 (out)
* Lamp 105-B1-221 and adjacent lamp near Grove Street at 37.40273, -79.16222 (out)

Please let me know if this is the preferred way of reporting lamps that are out in city parks. Thank you for your time.

Not fixed. Reporting through Citizens First this time:

Hello. I reported two telephone pole lamps within Miller Park near Grove Street as out a while back through the Parks & Rec website contact form (APCO said they weren't APCO responsibliity). I checked recently and they are still out.

One pole has the reference code 105-B1-221 (probably missing a digit at the end) and the other has no reference code. They are behind the Aviary.

Please report to the correct authority. Thank you!

Responded to last email to request status update:

Could you check the status of this issue with Parks & Recreation? The lamps are still out last I checked. Alternatively, if you know a good contact at P&R for these issues, I can follow up with them directly. Thank you for your time!

Received response from Citizens First, but skeptical that this will work because APCO already said other Miller Park lamps are not their responsibility:

Good Morning, It has been reported. The work request # is 24-001176. It has been sent to AEP. They will get it repaired as soon as possible. Thank you, Chonna

Emailed Brian Glass with Parks & Rec to report:

Brian,

I've found two more lamps in Miller Park that are out. They're on telephone poles by the walkway behind the Aviary. One is pole 105-B1-221, and the other is not labeled. Thanks in advance for your time.

Nathan
