I think we're OK to vote. I think all the comments can be addressed (and we can vote again if there are changes that emerge over the next few months!)

Great. Do you need help figuring out what software to use for voting?

fine by me to vote any time

I have a draft vote set up in Google Forms. Since the GSuite is not entirely set up yet, it's in my personal account, but we can transfer the collection sheet to the LiveCoMS account later.

Two questions:

  1. For traceability, I would like the vote to refer to a version of the bylaws in a specific commit hash.
  2. I would like to require that voters use a Google login (doesn't matter right now) so that the poll is limited to one response per person. The results are still kept anonymous.

If #2 is OK, then I need all of the voters to provide me with an email address that is either a gmail account or is associated with a Google account (e.g., I see that some of your universities use Google as an email provider).

@dwsideriusNIST - this sounds reasonable to me, though I'm not sure everyone will have a Google account. Not too sure the best way to deal with that. I guess we could go ahead and give it a shot and see if anyone complains (in which case they could manually submit their vote to you by e-mail perhaps?) or we could do a pre-poll to see if everyone has a Google account or is willing to create one (but that seems like a waste of time).

Thanks.

@davidlmobley I'm going to send a quick email to the editorial board to inquire about google accounts. Agree, it's a waste of time, but we'll be closer to the poll that way.
