Thanks for applying @tolgayayci! We'll get back to you with a decision within 2-4 weeks!
Hi @tolgayayci, thank you again for applying. Unfortunately at this time, the committee has decided not to fund this proposal. We encourage you to keep experimenting with Livepeer and apply again in the future!
Hi @hansy, thanks for your review. If there are points I am missing, I would like to learn to improve it, see you in the future.
Please describe your project. Start with the need or problem you are trying to solve with this project. Describe why your solution is going to adequately solve this problem.
The primary challenge faced by many users when interacting with Livepeer is the lack of end-user-friendly applications to engage with the network. While there exists a platform like Livepeer Studio, new users often hesitate to learn or interact with unfamiliar platforms, which hinders exploration and utilization of Livepeer. This project aims to address this barrier by developing a Telegram bot, providing an intuitive interface for users to interact with the Livepeer network.
An easy to use Telegram bot to upload and retrieve assets/videos, we significantly lower the entry barrier, inviting a broader user base. This will increase adoption and accessibility of the Livepeer network, making it a more inclusive and user-centric ecosystem. Through the simplicity and familiarity of Telegram, users can effortlessly use the features of Livepeer, helping it grow and creating a more engaging user experience.

Please describe in more detail why this proposal is valuable for the Livepeer ecosystem
The bot would facilitate interacting with Liverpeer more user-friendly, especially for users who might not be technically adept. Here's a breakdown of the value this proposal brings:
By leveraging Telegram, a platform already familiar to millions, we substantially lower the entry barriers to Livepeer. Users can interact with Livepeer's services without having to navigate a new, possibly intimidating, platform.
Making Livepeer easily accessible through a well-liked messenger will likely drive more users to explore and utilize Livepeer's video services, thus promoting broader adoption and possibly encouraging more content creators and consumers to join the ecosystem.
A user-friendly Telegram bot could help build a more lively and engaged community. When it's easy to upload and retrieve videos, more people are likely to participate actively within the Livepeer community.
This bot can act as a real-world example of what Livepeer can do, showing how decentralized video services can interact well with popular platforms. This might inspire other developers to create more tools or services on Livepeer, bringing in more creativity and adding value to the ecosystem.
Please describe in details what your final deliverable for this project will be.
Create a Telegram bot written in Python that users can interact with just by sending messages to the bot, or by using the bot's commands.
Create a Dockerfile for the bot, so that it can be easily deployed to any server by users who want to run their own instance of the bot.
Create a documentation for the bot, so that users can easily understand how to use or deploy the bot.
Please break up your development work into a clear set of milestones
Sum up the total requested budget across all milestones, and include that figure here. Also, please include a budget breakdown to specify how you are planning to spend these funds.
Total of 6,250 USD is requested for the project. The funding will be used to cover the developerment salary and the server costs.
Specify your team's long-term plans to maintain this software and upgrade it over time
I am dedicated to the long-term maintenance of the Telegram bot which consists of regular checks to ensure its smooth operation, fix bugs, and keep it compatible with any updates in Telegram and Livepeer APIs. The bot will be open-sourced and also deployed by me in a server, so that anyone can use it for free.
