Beyond live streaming, particular sessions can be recorded and stored on the blockchain, ensuring that educational content generated during the retreat is permanently accessible for future reference. This could help in building a decentralized knowledge base on blockchain technology topics.
By leveraging Livepeer, 0xCastle can distribute content in a decentralized manner, aligning with the project's core principles and ensuring that educational materials are censorship-resistant and globally accessible.
How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective?
With the grant, we would be able to offer our educational partners financial aid in the form of a scholarship so they can attend the retreat. Each housing scholarship will consist of that will cover accommodation in a dorm, food and a shuttle from Berlin.
Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?
It was inspired by the transformative experience and shared vision developed during 0xVillage (https://0xvillage.org/) in Turkey, where the idea to create a dedicated space for deep blockchain education and research, emphasizing privacy, scalability, and interoperability, was conceived.
Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.
Our team has extensive experience in web3, with both academic and professional backgrounds. We've graduated from top universities with computer science degrees, specializing in blockchain-related fields. Professionally, we've worked at leading blockchain companies like Quantstamp and Staking Facilities, contributing as developers, researchers, and thought leaders. Outside of formal education and careers, we're actively involved in the web3 community through non-profit organizations, bettering our understanding of both technical and societal aspects of blockchain. Every team member has a solid grasp of web3 technologies, with most excelling in technical development and others knowledgeable in blockchain theory. Have attended countless of hackathons and won many prizes there, web3 conferences and been part of various hands on workshops during those. Many of the team members have also been part of research teams in academia in web3 and blockchain.
What is the project’s expected deliverable at the conclusion of the grant time period?
At the conclusion of the grant, 0xCastle can deliver a report on blockchain innovations discussed, a series of educational workshops, collaborative research findings, and a compilation of talks and sessions aimed at propelling the decentralized data economy forward.
What is the one thing (the core mechanic) you want someone to do when using your deliverable?
We want participants to actively participate in collaborative blockchain research and educational discussions, promoting a community-driven approach to solving key web3 issues in privacy, scalability, and interoperability.
How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?
By streaming sessions via Livepeer, we'll showcase its scalability and reliability for live blockchain education, attracting more users to the platform and demonstrating its utility in decentralizing access to knowledge across the globe.
