Project Description

Ensemble is a platform for artists to to mint and sell behind the scenes materials from their creative process.

With our live sketching stream, an artist will sketch in the style of other live drawing streams, while collectors can mint their sketches as they go, getting the exact version at time of mint, making every mint unique.

How is Livepeer used for this project?

Livepeer will be used to livestream the drawing session to our website, as well as to multistream it to Twitter, Youtube, and various Lens apps, depending on how many endpoints the feature allows.

How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective?

The grant will be used for a portion of production costs, including cameras and set design, noticeably increasing the production quality of the stream.

Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?

No

Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.

Our team is Mackenzie Davenport and Jayden Boesch

Before working on Ensemble Mackenzie was a theatre producer and director as well as a video editor. He has experience running live productions, as well as with camera operation, and video productions.

Jayden is a full-stack engineer with experience designing and building web applications. He has previously built apps from the ground up involving data analysis and web3 technologies.

To get a better idea, you can watch our past video productions on ensemble.art.

What is the project’s expected deliverable at the conclusion of the grant time period?

Expected deliverables include a working livestream page on our website, with mint integration, leaderboard, chat, as well as the video of the first livestream, and resulting sketch collection.

What is the one thing (the core mechanic) you want someone to do when using your deliverable?

Our primary goal is to use the livestream to drive mints of the sketches as they are being created, we want users to mint the current sketch, based on the presentation and content of the livestream.

Using a livestream as a format to drive engagement / collection of art is our primary interest with this format.

How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?

In addition to another application using the Livepeer product, creative use of livestreams to drive sales (in our case of digital art) provides a clear testament to the power of live-streaming in online shopping experiences, and shows Livepeer as an exemplary tool to build them.

How did you learn about the Livepeer Grants Program?

We met the team in Miami, but saw Livepeer long before that and have planned on using it when we began streaming.
