We are building an onchain TikTok to address the onboarding and trust issues faced by newcomers to the space. This platform helps on-chain content creators build an audience and earn income while providing information, entertainment, and social proof to investors who want to participate in token or creator economies.
Livepeer is used for livestreams. Creators can showcase tokens or simply entertain and grow their audience and coin value through livestreams on both desktop and mobile apps. Specifically, for the following weeks, we will be streaming reactions to matches of Copa America and Euro Cup.
How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective?
We will use this grant to pay for the Livepeer credits used in our transmissions of Copa América reactions and to provide small incentives to users participating in these livestreams. We have almost fully integrated Livepeer with both our desktop and mobile apps.
Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?
No, the project started with a product that helped new users get more reach in web3 social graphs, which was a need we had as developers. From there we saw that to give the user experience we wanted to the customer we needed to build Zurf.
Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.
What is the project’s expected deliverable at the conclusion of the grant time period?
We expect to have 1,000 total viewers for the livestreams with the app in production, available in both the Android and iOS stores. We will create a blog entry and video content explaining the benefits of using Livepeer in the transmissions.
What is the one thing (the core mechanic) you want someone to do when using your deliverable?
We want people to participate by answering polls during the livestream. These polls will be related to the football matches in Copa América being reacted to in the transmissions, but the feature can be used by customers in any way they want.
How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?
We will promote Livepeer during every match to the audience by adding the Livepeer logo to the screen and featuring it as a sponsor in the official announcements. The post-documentation and content about Livepeer will help the community learn about the product and how they can use it.
