What is your project, and what problem does it solve?

This open-source streaming platform, powered by livepeer, offers a better alternative to OBS. It’s designed for efficient video production and streaming, with a focus on community engagement. It solves problems like cross-platform streaming, efficient content management, customization, niche-specific streaming, seamless peer streaming, and easy setup.

Please describe in more detail why this proposal is valuable for the Livepeer ecosystem

This would show a practical usecase of the core integrations and APIs Livepeer offers to power up a streaming service that is open source, easy to use with little to no technical expertise and offers high quality streams with efficient video management which all revolve around the ethos of Livepeer.

Please describe in details what your final deliverable for this project will be.

The deliverables are a Github repository, working prototype, product website with documentation, blogs, guides and video content.

How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?

This milestone will build on top of many of the foundation work laid out in the first milestone and we will be exploring cross platform streaming from Stream2Peer to other existing streaming platforms like Twitch, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok with integrations for each based on availability and feasibility which will be communicated with the grant program managers from time to time. So, the flow becomes that a user can create and account, set up a stream on the livepeer network and stream across multiple platforms with some control over video output. The three original team members will continue integrations on things from the frontend to the backend for API and webhook integrations alongside creating compatibility interfaces necessary. Funding required will be 4000 USD with distribution for external services that need to be paid for and teammates’ welfare

This milestone focuses on getting Peer stream with independent creators enabling collaborative content across the board with audience participation from both creators in a consolidated fashion with a custom experience selected and agreed upon by the streamers. This way things like streamers comments, reactions, viewership and participation can be tracked with analytics from streams with a feature to allow viewers to set reminders that syncs to their calendars working. The three original team members will continue integrations on things from the frontend to the backend for API and Livepeer integrations for features like analytics processing. Funding required will be 4000 USD with distribution for external services that need to be paid for and teammates’ welfare.

For this milestone, we will have had streaming from the livepeer network already working and usable by the click of a button along with other necessary streaming details from the flow of setting up a streamer account to creating a livestream on the Livepeer network. There will be 3 people working on this milestone from the server and client requirements for setting up a server that will handle integration directly with the Livepeer network, user accounts’ management, database configuration. The funding required will be 4000 USD with distribution for external services that need to be paid for like hosting and server management to teammates’ welfare.

Specify your team's long-term plans to maintain this software and upgrade it over time

Our long-term plan includes making the platform open-source where developers can make contributions to the project, We also plan on working hand in hand with the Livepeer team to make the platform customizable depending on the niche of the streamer and also the needs of the viewers, making the streaming experience unique for both the streamers and the viewers

Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.

As a team we already have some experience building a livestream application specifically for streaming live entertainment events that hosted over 100 users at once, we can use this as an experience to leverage on while building this project. We also have a lot of experience from working on open-source projects.

Who is your target user group? How do you plan on getting your users to use this?

Our target user group include programmers interested in livestreaming, opensource streamers and content creators. Our selling point is that we’ll be offering high quality streams, ability to stream across multiple platforms and unique streaming experience for free

How did you learn about the Livepeer Grants Program?

We heard about this program from the program manager En Canada

Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?

No

Please include any additional information that you think would be useful in helping us to evaluate your proposal.

is this going to be a web based platform? what exactly is the proposed build for this OSS project, your proposal seems kind of vague. I can only understand this is going to be a streaming software but how is this better than OBS, Restream or web base streaming software like Livestorm , https://livestorm.co/restreaming .What are the special compelling features for streamers.
