This project seeks to launch and execute a competition to raise awareness of Livepeer amongst the community of live-streaming creators / broadcasters on the internet.
Characteristics of the competition:
Time-bound - with a fixed start time and end time
Prize fund - as an incentive for broadcasters to engage with Livepeer
Competition rules - defined within a smart contract, and prize fund distributed automatically
Leaderboard tracking - transparently measured by interpreting data from the Public Ledger
The objectives for this project would be to:
Raise awareness of Livepeer as an alternative mechanism for broadcasting
Elicit feedback from broadcasters to drive further evolution of the Livepeer protocol and platform
Grow the network with additional transcoding nodes being added for participants to broadcast
Apply some load and traffic to test the network
