Agenda

The Livepeer Plan .

At Livepeer we’re focused on enabling a decentralized video broadcast platform, with an eye towards a full next generation decentralization-leveraging video stack. Some benefits of this ecosystem include opening up access to participation in the world economy through live video presence, "giving everyone a voice”, and enabling a new wave of economically incentivized decentralized apps that were not imaginable before the rise of decentralized technology, smart contracts, and blockchain systems. There are also exciting technology benefits including the ability to more efficiently use idle resources in service of these networks, including both computation for distributed, parallelized transcoding (live and VOD), and bandwidth for p2p content distribution. A permission-less innovation platform allows Livepeer to become a true platform for any video enabled computation over time. While we have a lot of work to do to achieve the full potential of this ecosystem, hopefully the reasons why we’re doing this are clear.

Let's discuss Livepeer over the long term - why we're doing what we're doing, what the various phases look like in the ecosystem, and how we plan to get where we want to go.
