@RutledgePaulV, thanks for submitting this. This looks good, but I've just merged another PR that improves in the command line options by using the tools.cli library. Would you please rebase this PR and adjust the options to use the cli library? I think it'll be pretty clear what needs to be done once you take a look at the latest version, but let me know if you have any questions.
