Is this request asking for Git support? GitHub is just one place you might store your code. Others include: Atlassian Bitbucket, GitLab, Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), a privately hosted Git repository, etc. If so, I would +1 this feedback and request this feature. Thanks for making this awesome extension!
