Clearly, users of this extension must be grateful for the work contributed by the author -- I am. That said, however, looking through the list of issues here I suspect that author has been "absent" for a long time. We all move on with our lives for unexpected reasons, so this is not even a criticism -- simply an observation. Considering that SFTP is an important "tool", can anyone recommend a solid alternative to this extension, with which one can "talk/SFTP" with a remote server? Many thanks for the feedback.

Have you also been having an issue with syncing sftp files with your vscode?

I have indeed been having SOME issues with the extension but in general it does (most of) what it's supposed to do. My main worry is that this extension seems to be "dead", with no support or response from the author. This is not meant to be a criticism of the author's previous contribution to a worthy project. It seems to me, however, that -- if indeed this is an orphaned extension -- it should not be actively promoted by the VS Code community. I'm still looking for a solid alternative to this extension...

Totally agree with @Paulo--M--, this is a great extension, but it would be nice for it to be updated regularly.
