Wifi and USB ports #1090

I'm using one of the USB ports to connect my Huawei 4G modem to connect to the 
internet and the other USB to connect a backup drive. If I connect the backup 
drive the 2.4Hz Wifi connection becomes unstable, the signal intensity goes up 
and down and sometimes is completely lost. I've installed the last firmware. If 
one USB port is working alone everything works ok.

Is there something I can do to fix this?
