What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable DHCP manual assignment, assign the ip address, host name based on MAC
address.
2. Go to the home screen and check the connected client status
3. The client name is shown only partially

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The client name should show as I defined.
Instead, the client name is not shown correctly (looks like truncated)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
N56U firmware 3.0.3.8-081

There are certain rules that determine what exactly constitutes a valid
hostname. For instance, a hostname can contain only alphabets 'a' through 'z',
numerals '0' through '9' and the hyphen. Other special characters including the
'underscore' are not allowed.

I try to rename the device accordingly, now the client are shown correctly.
Thanks !!

Meanwhile, would it be possible to add the inline explanation (about the naming
rule) at the "Host Name" label (like the WINS Server). I think the inline help
is very handy.

Thanks again.
