Freedns, misslabled fields? #352

I'm on RT-N56U_1.1.2.0-002_newgui_mini and usually running freedns, but I have
only three fields that displays "Host Name" in DDNS settings on the rt-n56u. I
really cant get it to work, and I've tried all diffrent combinations of
settings but all I get is this:

Jul 9 17:55:05 INADYN[2494]: I:IP address for alias 'xxxxxx' needs update to
'xx.xx.xx.xx'
Jul 9 17:55:06 INADYN[2494]: W:Error validating DYNDNS svr answer. Check
usr,pass,hostname,abuse...!
Jul 9 17:55:06 INADYN[2494]: W:DYNDNS Server response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK^M

(it 0)
Jul 9 17:55:06 INADYN[2494]: E: The response of DYNDNS svr was an error!
Aborting.

What is the correct fields and what to put in them?

Hey I actually figured it out. All you do is type in your hostname and token in.

e.g. Host Name: xxxxxx.mooo.com,<token>

I entered the hostname and the token comma seperated in the first
hostname-field, due the string limitation in the textbox of 48 chars, I edited
it in Firebug to contain more characters and press the 'Apply' button. - IP
Update work! :-)

The "Host Name" field format: <hostname>,<token> worked on frimware version
3.0.3.4-048 but not on newer firmware :-(

What is the correct format for freedns.afraid.org in the actual firmware
please? Thanks.

I don't know if this is still an issue for people, but for me the following
settings worked on firmware 3.4.3.6-064:

host name: the name of your url (bla.ignorelist.com)

user name: your username
password: your freedns password
