Nokia Day base map optional is not working properly

Thanks!

lixun910 commented 5 years ago

This is caused by the change of HERE’s map tile service. You can specify your HERE account in GeoDa. Or simply try to use our latest version : Win64: https://geodasoftware.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/GeoDa-1.14.0.0-Windows-64bit.exe

Xun:

I run into a problem with your "Boston housing and neighborhood data" data set. When I tried to create a weight file, it popped up an error message. I did not have the problem just a few days ago when I was performing the same task. I tried to close Geoda, download the data again but the problem remains.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I could neither load or create a new weight file anymore. Below is the error message when I tried to load an old file or create a new one. Attached also is the weight file that I created before.

@gs-geog Sorry, I can't see the attached image. Can you post the screenshot in github: https://github.com/lixun910/geoda/issues/33 ? Thanks!

As shown in the warning dialog, the dataset doesn't have a "POLY_ID" column, so when you creating a weights file, you can either

  1. specify another "ID variable" e.g. id (see screenshot)
Screen Shot 2019-10-25 at 11 00 19 AM

or 2. click the "Add ID Variable" button and add a POLY_ID column to the table. (see screenshot)

Screen Shot 2019-10-25 at 11 01 11 AM

Please note, you need to click the "save" button in GeoDa toolbar to save the newly added column POLY_ID to the original dataset, otherwise, you will get the same warning dialog when you creating a weights file with "POLY_ID" as ID variable.
