Problems With Audio / Call Quality

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make a phone call ( using asterisk pbx )

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Clear sound on both directions.  I hear fine, but the other user has a very 
choppy too difficult to understand audio

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
imsdroid-1.2.366.apk
Android v2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I downloaded the latest source and ran the software on the emulator ( behaves 
save as phone )I keep getting the error "AudioFlinger Buffer Overflow" 
constantly while the call is connected.

I can confirm this problem using IMSDroid calling a Siemens Gigaset 580H 
handset registered with 580IP base. Audio from IMSDroid -> Siemens is very 
choppy, audio from Siemens -> IMSDroid is clear. Interestingly, calling 
LinPhone running on a PC also has choppy sound, but the chunks of clear audio 
from IMSDroid -> LinPhone are much longer in duration.
Problem with audio buffer size or jitter compensation perhaps?

Forgot to add: audio from LinPhone -> IMSDroid is clear also. It does seem thet 
the problem is only with what gets sent from IMSDroid, not with what it 
receives.
