Plausibly upstream might enjoy this change, but not as a replacement for Blood Brother assassination (they also only have BB enabled in config on one of their four(?) servers). They would probably like it more as a traitor objective.
The Blood Brother's old-style assassination objective which requires the target to remain dead until the end of the round has been causing friction because of people jumping at early opportunities to achieve it, leaving targets dead for 90+ minutes. It's not necessarily a good fit for our server population or playstyle.
A proposed replacement is instead to assassinate someone, take a photograph of it, and provide the photograph to the syndicate. The syndicate will then boast about it on the public newscaster (in a special "syndicate announcements" channel) several minutes later, announcing the location of the body to any interested on-station parties.
This would be a two step objective, the first step obviously being to kill someone and photograph the corpse. Optionally you might need to photograph the corpse in a specific location, but that might be a little too likely to expose you. It would perhaps be nice if this was listed as a "bonus" and acknowledged if achieved, but not mandatory. The second step is to get the photograph to the Syndicate. We proposed three methods, and perhaps all three could be available in the same round leaving you flexibility on how to do it, or perhaps it can be randomised between these three to provide more variety.
We could plausibly share this with traitors, but it might feel more fun to leave Blood Brothers with differentiated tasks. On the other hand, making sure Traitors also get the objective means you can't metagame that there's a team of two bad guys.
The "maroon" objective can remain as it is, that doesn't actually require you to kill someone. The typical assassination objective can plausibly remain as it is for now on other non-roundstart antagonists, as they typically don't occur until some time closer to the end of the round anyway.
