Viewer hide #25

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

Version of "hide" viewer command where the user can drag a box to define the
objects to hide. Selecting items individually with the 10x10x12 core is a bit
painful.

I intend to add rended->unselect 2D/3D rather than modify hiding. I think that
tools->hide could be removed after that. Also tools->show all could be replaced
by something else, perhaps 'redraw all' (which would only center the scene).

Then select or unselect will generate a sequence of "selections" and the use
will be able to go back by pressing 'p' as usual.

What do you think?

I agree a render 2d/3d unselect with back/forwards history would be good.

I think a "show all command" is still useful, although the proposed "redraw
all" command (actually better named "redraw current"?) would also be useful.

Ideally maybe there's some interface to allow you to select components to
render - but that's probably hard to make general purpose, especially with the
current GUI. I think the 2D/3D render select will be sufficent for the moment.
