Thought to keep it in this issue since it's related; Some recap from today (27.9.2023) scrum meeting:
1) Wang and Engel curves; make sure that the colours and proximity to dashed line corresponds to the actual proximity to temperature threat; e.g. budburst and advancing temperature should be most distal, while veraison is most at threat with increasing temperature
side note: conceptually what do the Wang and Engel curves represent? That might help me understand better where to place the advancing temperature geom_vline()
2) There is definitely a formula for the negative exponent that's much more efficient than my asymptote
@ngoj1 See other issue for exponential ... Good point on the Wang & Engel! We used in one lab paper -- here -- but I recommend more this paper https://www.nature.com/articles/nplants2017102
I don't have any code for the cold part of the figure, but posted some code for the Wang Engel curves and a READ<E in this folder.
Any further code can go in the same folder.
