@AileneKane Could you help me extract the total number of species in our grephon table? I have been looking at your code in plotspecies.R, but cannot figure a best way to extract the total number and/or write similar code for whathappened.R ... I want to have an \Sexpr{sppnum} in the abstract (right now the rnw references whathappened.R, but we could add other files if easiest).
