My idea:

• ESP8286 M3: cheap, small, enouth GPIOs, GPIO16 easy available
• DHT22: simple, temperature with good precicition, humidity, but slow
• Li-Ion 18650 with holder: relatively big, holder directly soldered to PCB https://de.aliexpress.com/item/EDT-5pcs-Black-DIY-ABS-Storage-Box-Holder-Case-For-Li-ion-18650-3-7V-Battery/32716984301.html
• TP4056 module with protection: cheap, charging via USB, protection!
• Capacitor: size?
