Schedule the meetup

Announce the meetup

Wait a few days. If there are no sponsors and/or speakers that have stepped up, you will have to manually poke them to do so. Go through the list of potential talks and sponsors. For speakers and sponsors, the rule is First-Come-First-Served: whoever comments on #1 or #2 first, gets to be the speaker/sponsor. Once you have a sponsor and two talks, continue with:

Narrate the meetup

November is busy so I prefer to book the venue in advance: the meetup will take place in Poligon at 7pm on Thursday 16th November.

We actually already have a sponsor + speaker for this event. The sponsor will be https://www.plantformance.com/ and they'll showcase how they use Python to automate factories!

I, for one, am really looking forward to this one :).

Talk title: Python on plant manufacturing floor

Speaker bio: Dominique Wille is a geek that had the opportunity to work in 80 countries, expat in 3 of them and decided to start his own business. He will be assisted by Rok Zupan, an expert in automation that has built a Slovenian automation company. They both created an industrial startup that aims to simplify the adoption of new technologies for the manufacturing floor.

For the second talk, I would volunteer my little escapade into Django for requesting public information from inspectors at the Ministry of interior. First I would give a brief introduction what motivated me, followed by my workflow and tools I used to develop and deploy the application. It is available for anyone to poke at https://github.com/romunov/kurc or if you want to see it in action and get a headstart, https://kurc.biolitika.si. For my closing bit, I'll sum up what has happened since the launch of the application and what to do next.

BTW, I would sort of need my laptop for the presentation. It has VGA and HDMI outputs for external screens. I hope that won't be a problem.

Sounds good, people normally use their own machines, so shouldn't be a problem.
