• Idea: chain of thought was applied to various reasoning tasks, maybe we can do so for data annotation?
• Data annotation is not just: "do NER on this text," it's more of explaining or adding context + nuance to labels.
• Side experiments on applying chain-of-thought prompting to elicit reasoning in data annotation
• Can we use annotation guidelines?

Implementation

• ChatGPT can get expensive, maybe try GPT-J? Doesn't really have to be an intense experiment
