What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open android-vnc-viewer
2. Enter address of 192.168.1.147(set statically by router)
3. Enter port of 5900 (default)
4. Enter username
5. Enter password
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to log into the VNC server and view the desktop on the phone. What I
receive instead is an error message that appears immediately, as if no
processing was performed, "VNC Connection Failed, Server is not configured
properly!"
What version of android-vnc-viewer are you using?
android-vnc-viewer version 0.5.0
Which VNC server/version are you using? On which platform?
Tight VNC Server 2.0.2 for Windows 7 Ultimate
What is the size of the desktop you are trying to access (i.e. 1024x768,
1920x1080...)?
1440x900
What device are you using?
Motorola Droid X2
Are you using a custom ROM? If so, which?
No, stock Froyo 2.2.2 (1.2.148.MB870) rooted
Please provide any additional information below.
I upgraded from a Droid X (where I have gotten this to work before) to a Droid
X2 and after installing and attempting to run this application, it does not
seem to attempt to connect.
The only difference in this scenario is I'm connected to WiFi and attempting to
connect via the LAN connection. After putting the settings in correctly, when I
click connect, immediately afterwards I receive an error message that it was
unable to connect.
I have confirmed the following:
- Router successfully sees WiFi connection from Droid X2
- Other PCs on the LAN are able to connect to the VNC server successfully
