Recallbox + Sony PVM monitor not working with Pi400RGB #3

Hi! I'm trying to make this adapter work with a fresh install of Recallbox. Only thing I've changed as per the instructions here was to add these lines in the options file

Pour recalboxrgbdual

adapter.type = recalboxrgbdual The adapter is set to AUTO since the monitor supports 60Hz. Should I do anything more for it to work? I get no picture..

I had to remove the EPROM and the two 1k resistors next to it in order to get a picture. Does this make any sense?Should I try a new EPROM IC in there? I now get a picture so either there was something wrong with that chip or it's not needed at all?!
