Loss of links between the translation when working on multiple blogs #147

Describe the bug Assume that the website works with 3 different languages English, Norwegian and Danish. The articles on the website are posted on all 3 sources and occasionally translated from one language to another. Once you translate articles between the websites, the plugin is only passing information about the article source from which you translate instead of passing all the existing translations. Therefore, removes the interdependencies between the languages. Same goes for the terms.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create 3 lingual blog DK, NOR, ENG
  2. Create a test article A on the DK website
  3. By using "+" sign in DK admin Dashboard, create a new version of DK article on the NOR website
  4. Enter the translated title for NOR version and go to NOR website's dashboard
  5. Again, by using "+" sign in the NOR dashboard, create a new version of the article A on the ENG website
  6. Check language switcher linking - the only link saved will be the one from the NOR website, despite there're two existing translations in both DK and NOR.

Expected behaviour Keep the linking to all the translations when creating a new translation of a post.

Additional context I proposed a working solution for this issue and also the previous feature request (incomplete) in the latest pull. However, I am not a php programmer so the implementation might not be the best. I really hope that it helps in plugin development :)

Cheers!

Update: I've managed to implement this feature by myself but there's another part of it which is slightly harder an probably beyond php skills that I am trying to refresh over the past few days.

Let's assume I created new post as described above. Then, I imported the content from another language version. Once the content import is completed, the information about other translations is lost, only the source and destination of the import are left. 🏳️

Update-2 I've managed to implement both features described above. Since I am not a wordpress dev but a scientist, it might seem very amateur - sorry for that. Anyway, I am sending it as a pull request and if you're interested in implementing something similar in the future maybe it will come useful.

Thanks again for this amazing plugin :)

P.S. Sorry for spamming you with posts and pull requests, I am new to contributions with this platform. I usually keep my code here and it's literally my first time doing it.

I have the same problem! Any plugin update for this? This is annoying!

Any chance this issue will be fixed?
