Server No Longer Working #619

Hi there,

I have been running a server off my Synology NAS for the last month or so for me and a friend. Everything was working great however today I am unable to connect to the server. I can see the server within the community server browser but unable to connect.

What I did to I believe break it was originally we played offline, then moved towards the server side of things. Everything moved over properly and everything was saved. Then today we needed to play offline again so I copied over, did a bunch of offline work and re-copied onto my NAS.

At this point I was unable to connect anymore.

I did ensure to shutdown the container each time.

I then decided, okay start from scratch so I deleted the container completely and all the contents of my folder. Everything seems to download fine except one item and that's the WORLD.db file, I do get the .FWL file.

Checking the logs the server does connect and is listening to UDP 2456. I also made sure to change the server name and it does appear like before in the community tab BUT I still cannot connect.

P.S Starting from scratch I made sure to let the container run for ~30 minutes before trying anything when last time the initial startup was more like 5.

Help?

Update: I left the server running overnight in hopes that it'd eventually connect. Lo and behold it's working. I looked through the logs of the container and there didn't appear to be any smoking gun. Maybe there was some errors on the valheim end?? I was at one point seeing both server names within the community hub even though only one should have appeared.

IE: Cascade Project Cascade 2.0

Both were up and when I selected one both were selected.

Oh well it's working now.
